M.I.A.

Hey Everyone!
So I know I've been kinda M.I.A. recently and I will tell you why...
I am currently residing at E.F.Y.!!
Wow...how great my life is right now.
What's better than wearing unattractive polos and hanging around with the best teenagers in the world?!
I can't think of anything better than that.


I'll do better posts probably once EFY slows down a little bit.


But until now...here is something to keep you occupied!

Alright, Alright, Alright, Alright, Alright, HEY!

Ok...so EFY is fast approaching! Am I prepared, you ask?

Oh, no where near where I need to be!
This coming week is going to be full of manual reading, lesson preparing, name tag creating, and so much more!


However, am I prepared for the amazing-ness that EFY will bestow upon me?
OH MY GOSH YES! AM I EVER?!
I cannot wait to drive up to Gainesville, GA and see Brenau University!
That place is like home to me!
This will be my 7th summer spending time there. I love it. Very much.
It's the little things I'm excited for. [well, and the big things.]


Like, wristbands and wearing a nametag all the time.
Seeing hundreds of youth reading their scriptures in the morning hours.
Having young boys race to the door to open it or argue over who gets to take my plate when I'm all done.
Everyone dancing with the girl in the wheelchair, who anywhere else would be looked over.
Singing the EFY medley and crying every single time and it's been how many years??
Being an absolute goofball and the youth love you even more.
Watching my kids bear their testimonies of Jesus Christ.
I feel like these youth are my own children.
I've watched them grow. I've watched them learn. I'm a proud counselor, I am.


Not only do the youth strengthen me, but my co-counselors as well.
I have made some life long friends through this program.
You think going to EFY as a participant is fun? Try being a counselor!
I'm excited for the fun times ahead of me!
I leave on June 19th. I have to be there a few days early.
I am going to be a BC this year. I'm a little nervous, but SO excited!
Then I have 3 weeks of EFY ahead...2 in Gainesville and 1 in St. Pete, FL.
It's going to be the best 3 weeks!
EFY 2009...here I come!
